Veronica Negro

Frangipani

Veronica Negro performs "Frangipani" by Ross Edwards. Written in 2001, is one of nine short pieces from the collection Mantras and Night Flowers. The original theme of Frangipani is taken from Liszt’s Hungarian Rhapsodies and given a new, exotic flavour with the incorporation of a Japanese scale, enhanced romantic gestures and a suggestion of the music written for the Koto, a Japanese zither with thirteen silk strings.
