My Major Textiles Project is an expression of both recycled items and fashion. This piece is supposed to look as if someone emerged from a forest covered in moss and bark from trees. Heavily inspired by environmental fashion movements, this piece is made of 80% recycled or repurposed materials.

The bodice is made from recycled seaweed wallpaper and the moss is made from repurposed wire. This piece is in response to the ethical fashion movement, influencing both young and more traditional designers to make the switch from mass production to ethical production of textile products, as well as using or buying preloved fabrics and materials.
