For my Major Textiles Project, I embroidered a Spanish inspired wall art of a flamenco dancer on a dark orange satin piece of fabric.

I used a couple of different embroidery thread that fit with the Spanish theme, such as red, black and pink in two different textures such as cotton and silk. I also hand stitched black lace on the bottom half of the dress to give the effect of 3D ruffles and I stitched on small white pearls on the top half of the dress to give the effect of polka dots which is a common pattern on flamenco dresses.
