THE OPPORTUNITY:

  • Senior level office support role providing executive-level administration and student services to staff, parents and students
  • Fast-paced, dynamic and varied role that is both challenging and rewarding

The Senior Support Officer will work with our Wellbeing Team, providing executive level assistance and project/program support to support the successful delivery of wellbeing support services for students at the College. This includes providing administrative support for our Assistant Principal Students and Deans of Junior/Senior School as well as frontline support to our counselling service as a first responder to students with support needs.

ABOUT YOU:

  • Experienced office administrator with a strong work ethic and motivation to undertake a varied, challenging and rewarding senior support role.
  • With a high level of emotional maturity, you are able to remain calm under pressure and handle sensitive matters with discretion and diplomacy.
  • A confident and articulate communicator who can build and maintain professional working relationships with students, parents, staff and a range of external stakeholders.
  • Consistently presents a high standard of professionalism and customer service while working efficiently in a busy and sometimes challenging environment.
  • Motivated and energetic with the ability to be proactive, flexible and responsive to changing priorities.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with considerable emotional maturity to be able to maintain a calm presence and professionalism under pressure.
  2. Demonstrated organisational, project and time management skills including the ability to prioritise, exercise initiative and manage competing deadlines.
  3. Highly developed digital literacy skills with advanced skills in the use of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams), SEQTA, Pulse and/or other electronic record management and sophisticated client management software.
  4. Highly developed ability to extract, collate and analyse data, produce sophisticated reports, develop and edit a variety of high-quality professional documents and correspondence.
  5. Demonstrated ability to work proactively to identify and solve problems, research and apply knowledge and transferable skillsets to enhance systems and practices.
  6. Demonstrated high level of professionalism with the ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment and diplomacy at all times.
  7. Flexibility and commitment to the provision of a high standard of customer service, with the ability to contribute to critical tasks or projects outside of normal hours when required.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

  • Be part of our Facilities and Maintenance team providing general grounds and maintenance assistance
  • Part-time; 2-3 days per week

The Maintenance Assistant will work within our small Facilities & Maintenance team to ensure that the College buildings, grounds and facilities are well maintained, professionally presented and respectfully cared for to provide a safe and exemplary learning environment for our students and staff to learn, work and thrive in.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Demonstrated proficiency in undertaking a range of grounds and building maintenance tasks.
  2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact appropriately with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  3. Ability to present professionally while undertaking duties, showing appropriate consideration and respect for staff and students at the College.
  4. Motivated and enthusiastic with the ability to demonstrate initiative and the capacity to appropriately prioritise tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
  5. Ability to work as a positive and collaborative team member.
  6. Demonstrate pride and commitment to the provision of a high standard of customer service and quality of work.
  7. Demonstrated commitment to work, health and safety practices with the ability to interpret and follow standard operating procedures.
  8. Current NSW Drivers Licence (Current MR Licence or willingness/ability to obtain is advantageous)

TEACHING OPPORTUNITIES:

The Teacher provides a contemporary education to students in accordance with the appropriate syllabus and the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers. This includes the planning, preparation and teaching of programs to achieve specific student outcomes.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Recognised teaching qualification, approved for teaching secondary school (Stages 4-6) with NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) Accreditation
  • Valid Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • Strong knowledge of the NSW curriculum
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the holistic approach to education which challenges the creativity, initiative and ability of each student.
  • Demonstrated outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, critical analysis and problemsolving skills with the ability to work collaboratively and respectfully in a team environment.
  • Experience with demonstrated high standard of competency and proficiency as a classroom teacher, with the ability to structure lessons that meet the individual physical, social and intellectual development needs of students.
  • Understanding of and commitment to the mission and purpose of an all-girl Catholic College embracing the Good Samaritan and Benedictine tradition.
  • Strong digital literacy with the ability and willingness to engage with a variety of technologies.
